By training I am a geologist and an organic geochemist with a strong background in stable isotope and organic analytical chemistry. My current research is focused on the application of organic geochemical and molecular proxies as indicators of climate and ecosystem change over different spatial and temporal scales. Specifically, I am using such methods to quantify past climatic and ecosystem changes as well as transport processes of organic material from their source (organisms) to their sink (sedimentary archives).
